How to Dress Business Casual (For Presentation & Interview)

Business casual is a little bit less formal than the traditional business attire. Business casual is usually required for interviews or presentations, especially in the US (they really do take consideration in how you dress!) Even though it's called business "casual," it doesn't mean mini skirts, boobs exposure tops, midriff crop tops, etc. It means simplicity! However, I'll show you how to dress to achieve the formal yet chic look at the same time! I actually just had my presentation today and I was inspired to make this blog as I saw a lot of fashionables ideas of business casual attires in my class! :)

I'll start off by showing you guys what I wore today for my presentation:

1/ Short Sleeve Panel Shirt by TopShop

$68.00
I chose this shirt because it looks very trendy and classic. The sheer effect is perfect for summer/spring. And it's not too revealing because the front panel is doubled up so it won't show your bra. It looks super elegant and delicate that would go with mostly any bottoms in my closet! I looked really professional in this when I paired it up with a high waisted black pencil skirt which I'll talk about now!

2/ Perfect Form Black Pencil Skirt (Petite) by White House Black Market

$78.00
This skirt is a must-have in every girl's closet! It's simple and classic, a basic skirt that goes pretty much with anything. It's ultra-comfortable, wrinkle-resistant, and perfect for any occasions. This skirt will stretch along with your body when you wear it. I got this in petite, size 00 because I'm short and skinny (LOL). And I like to wear this skirt as high-waisted rather than the regular style so I can tuck in my white TopShop shirt to achieve a classy look.

3/ River Island Blazer Jacket

This blazer is really cute! You can wear it to any occasions, or you can pair with a black high waisted shorts to achieve a chic fall look. I paired this one along with the white shirt and black skirt listed above and they look absolutely fabulous together! The gold zipper (zip pocket detail) really accentuates the design of the blazer and differentiate it from other regular black blazers. Also, this blazer is open front so it's not very formal but casual!

4/ Pigalle Spiked Patent Red Sole Pump by Christian Louboutin
I have to choose this pumps for my presentation because it's middle heels (8.5 cm) and it's perfect for special occasions where you have to walk around a lot. This spike-saturated also catches people's attention because they're not regular leather patent shoes but with SPIKES! Yes I love spikes! It's also a pair of pointed toe shoes which is in trend in summer and fall. And these shoes are so comfortable and the height is just perfect, not too high, not too low! :)

Overall, they came together perfectly. I personally think I looked really professional when presenting and it made me feel super confident! :)
